Oldie Review: Doctor Who 502 - The Beast Below

Because our reviews of Doctor Who have been David Tennant-centric recently, we thought it would be only fair to give Matt Smith the same attention.
Our thoughts:
- Amy is such a cool companion. She fills in the gaps that Donna leaves behind. And she’s smart. When she figures out why the beast is held captive, and how he does it for the children, we looked at her in awe. This episode cemented her as someone we actually like traveling with the Doctor.
- The whole story line of this episode is undeniably cool. With the Forget or Abdicate button, the smiling robots that are everywhere, and the Queen that never ages, we look to Steven Moffat for giving us this awesome episode.
- On that note, we want to rant for a little while about Steven Moffat’s brilliance. Every episode he writes, whether it be from the time of Rose (“The Girl in the Fireplace”) to now (this episode), it’s amazing. Steven Moffat, you can do no wrong.
- That being said, we’re soooo excited for the new season. With the return of River Song, Steven Moffat writing the episode, and filming in the US, everything about the new season screams WIN. But how are we going to wait until April? Goodness knows.
