Return of the vest? Someone slap Ted.

After a lackluster two weeks, HIMYM really is back with this classic episode which reminded us so much of the earliest seasons.

This episode was a great visit back to the earliest seasons of HIMYM. It was sweet, it was funny, Barney was disgusting, Ted was snooty, Lily was crazy, Robin was hiding.

We’ll jump right into hits and misses.

Hits:

-Barney’s reality show impressions. You’ve been chopped. Please pack your knives and go. You’re fired. So. Freaking. Hilarious.

-Classic Barney opening. “Boutonniere is French for booty-is-near.”

-Lily and Robin were sweet. Sparkles and Glitter were sweeter…and dirtier. Oh, Canadians, how we love y’all.

-THE WEDDING IS PUNCHY’S WEDDING!!! To jog memories, Ted says he meets the Mother at a wedding. At the time, most speculated that it was Barney and Robin’s. We can almost guarantee that it’s Punchy’s, seeing as how Ted is his best man and all.

Misses:

-Punchy was kind of boring. We really don’t want him to become a bigger part of the show because of his wedding.
