Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Even though this isn’t TV related, we couldn’t resist the urge to talk about how much we loved Deathly Hallows. Our inner Harry Potter nerds were satisfied with this nostalgic rendition of the book.
We absolutely loved the beginning. Everything from Harry leaving the Dursleys for the last time (and the fact that the Dursleys were not as caricatured as they have been in past movies), and Hermione modifying the memories of her parents was perfect. What we loved most about this movie as opposed to the past ones is that characters were not rushed from scene to scene, and character development was not restricted.
We loved the balance of emotions with action, and their were genuine moments of sadness and fear throughout the movie. We loved the animations for The Tale of the Three Brothers stories, and the ending was both sad and suspenseful. As with all books turned into movies, there were scenes that we loved which weren’t included in the movie (Harry finding Lily’s letter at Grimmauld Place, Kreacher’s transformation), but, alas, sacrifices must always be made, and the end product was more than satisfactory.
